Northern Shores Loan Fund, Inc. (“NSLF”) announces two new Board Members Patrick Schmidt and Harley Luplow. Both of them previously served on NSLF’s Loan Committee.
Patrick Schmidt, CPCM is a tribal member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians and he is a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (“CPCM”) for a Fortune 500 Company involved with Aerospace and Defense. Harley Luplow is an Attorney in Harbor Springs who has vast experience as a Chief Financial Officer. “NSLF is very fortunate to have two very qualified individuals like Patrick and Harley on our team,” states Laura Blumberg, NSLF Chairperson. “We are always looking for people who have a business or financial background and could use new members for one of our Committees.”
NSLF partners with the Service Corps of Retired Executives (“SCORE”) as well as the Northern Lakes Economic Alliance (“NLEA”) to assist existing and new entreprenuers with help in areas such as business plans, marketing and financial education. NSLF also works with North Central Michigan College (“NCMC”) to help to provide our clients with various business related courses and programs.
NSLF offers a variety of loan products including micro enterprise loans, Energy Efficient Appliance Loans and Artisan Loans. We are a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) providing loans to those who may find it difficult to meet conventional lending requirements.
