Northern Shores Loan Fund, Inc. announces Tribal Artisan Loans in collaboration with WOCTEP
Northern Shores Loan Fund, Inc. (“NSLF”) is proud to announce that it is partnering with Waganakising Odawa Career & Technical Education Program (“WOCTEP”) to offer Tribal Citizens low interest Artisan Loans effective April 1, 2014.
“This continuing collaboration with WOCTEP offers a way for our Tribal Artisans to purchase supplies in order to create, display and sell their products at Tribal events. It is way for Tribal Members to become micro entrepreneur and at the same be able to work with WOCTEP to teach their craft to others.” Stated Tim LaCroix, Executive Director of NSLF. “WOCTEP offers assistance to anyone who would like to participate (High school/GED graduates, dual-enrolled students, current North Central Michigan College (“NCMC”) students, or community members looking to go to college for these skills can enroll. WOCTEP staff assists with the NCMC enrollment and registration process.”
Although NSLF does not require NCMC enrollment, we encourage anyone seeking to open a micro entrepreneur business selling their artisan product, to speak with WOCTEP and find out additional information.
NSLF offers Artisan Loans up to $500.00 with generous terms. Business loans include the following counties: Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Arenac, Bay, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Clare, Crawford, Emmet, Gladwin, Grand Traverse, Iosco, Isabella, Kalkaska, Lake, Leelanau, Manistee, Mason, Mecosta, Midland, Missaukee, Montmorency, Newaygo, Oceana, Ogemaw, Osceola, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon, and Wexford in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
