Northern Shores Community Development, Inc. donates vegetable seeds at Tribal Elder’s Meeting

Northern Shores Community Development, Inc. (“NSCD”) in conjunction with a donation from Peaceful Valley Farm and Garden Supply (GrowOrganic.com) donated numerous organic and non-GMO vegetable seeds at a Tribal Elder’s meeting in April of this year.

As part of its native Farming, Agriculture, and Ranching in Michigan or F.A.R.M. program, Northern Shores Community Development received grant in the form of seeds that was provided to our Tribal Elder’s and Community Garden Center at an Elder’s luncheon on April 21st. NSCD also contributed to this worthwhile program.

“It is our sincere hope that this extension of our FARM Program continues to be as popular as our FARM Program in general.” says Laura Blumberg, Chairperson of NSCD. “We continue to provide new and innovative ways to serve our Community, such as our Artisan and Energy Efficient (EEL) Loan Programs. We identify a need in the community and we try to find a way to make in happen that is within our current capability.”

NSCD Board of Trustees are Laura L. Blumberg (Chair), Pat Dyer- Deckrow (Vice-Chair), Kent Bartell (Treasurer), Steve Sochay (Secretary), Patrick Schmidt and Harley Luplow.
